CAR INSURANCE MASS slams ABI's whiplash proposals

Access to justice will be affected, says mass President
The Motor accident solicitors society (mass) has knocked the ABI proposal for medical panels to assess whiplash claims. CAR INSURANCE
The legal person said that the reforms in the legal aid, condemnation and punishment of perpetrators (LASPO) Act will be the cost for motor accident claims, but also disrupt the balance of rights between claimants and defendants would. CAR INSURANCE
MASS further said, that the ABI proposals to whiplash prosecutors reviewed by medical panels was meaningful, but that this should not be overly complicated and excessive costs. CAR INSURANCE
MASS President Craig Budsworth (pictured) said, "the whole industry wants to see insurance premiums go down. Legal fees are a result of the LASPO Act and Jackson reforms is drastically lowered. The spotlight should now be the insurance industry, to ensure that they meet their promise to pass on the savings that they are going to make to their clients. CAR INSURANCE
"The ABI sweeping statements about the dismissal of claims where there is a suspected exaggeration is underhanded and fairly useless. It shows that insurance companies know very little about how lawyers with their clients to imagine a just cause, or the nature of the work life with a whiplash-injury. "
