Amlin acquires minority interest in RFIB MGA

RFIB now has minority interest in renamed binding authority business

Lloyd's insurer Amlin has taken a minority stake in RFIB specialized risks, an MGA property of broking firms RFIB group companies.

The share of the stake was not disclosed.

The MGA has has been renamed Bellarmine Ltd Amlin syndicate 2001 will take part in some of the facilities managed by Bellarmine.

After the transaction will Bellarmine of management team, led by Hugh Champion, a majority holding in the MGA while RFIB companies will keep a minority interest.

From 3 March 2012 RFIB Group Limited had a 51% stake in RFIB specialized risks and management team 49%, according to a depot Companies House.

Champion yourself a 24.5% stake in the MGA held from that date.
