Monexnews durable goods orders the US slumped 5.2% in January, following a sharp decline in commercial aircraft and defence orders. Those results were worse than 4.4% loss expectations from economists.
While the core durable goods orders, which do not include the volatile transportation sector, noting a rise for the seventh month in a row with 5 grown 1.9% in January, according to the Department of Commerce report. The figure far exceeds the estimated 0.2%. (vid)
